Every district has its own data privacy agreement process. Some use the SDPC National DPA. Some use state-specific templates. Some built their own from scratch. Every one of them needs to be reviewed, negotiated, and signed before your product can touch a student.

Exhibits A, B, and F describe your product, data practices, and security standards. They never change state to state. Fill them out once and they stay on your profile permanently.
For each state you select, we auto-generate state-specific provisions (Exhibit G) and flag any conflicts with that state's law (Exhibit H). Review, confirm, done. Most states take 10 to 15 minutes.
A ready-to-sign agreement sits in your account for every state you selected. When a district wants your product, the agreement is already built. They review, sign, pay their $100, done.

The data on this platform comes from public sources: the SDPC district registry, state education agencies, and public records. It exists whether a vendor pays us or not.
Payment buys operational services: exhibit storage, state-specific compliance review, renewal management, and dashboard tools. Payment never changes the underlying data, agreement status, demand signals, or visibility of any vendor or product.
No vendor can buy a trust badge, a verified marker, or preferential placement. No payment alters agreement status, expiration dates, or any factual record.

What if a district invites me?
You'll get an email explaining what's needed. The invited rate is $99 for one state. Your exhibits are saved to your profile, so every future agreement auto-populates.
What does "DPA Ready" actually mean?
Your universal exhibits (A, B, F) are on file and your state-specific provisions (G, H) are reviewed and confirmed. When a district wants to sign, the agreement is pre-built. No starting from scratch.
Do I need a lawyer?
For the NDPA process? No. The NDPA is a standardized template created by the Student Data Privacy Consortium. If you have unique contractual requirements outside the standard framework, you may want legal counsel for those.
Can I start with one state and expand later?
Yes. Invited and Single State vendors can add states at $199 each, or upgrade to National ($9,499 founder pricing) for all SDPC member states at any time.
